This Privacy Policy explains how WebAxis (“WebAxis”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and shares personal data when you visit https://webaxis.site or engage our services. We aim to comply with the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 of the United Republic of Tanzania and with widely recognised international privacy standards (including the EU General Data Protection Regulation where applicable to our international clients).

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

• Contact information you give us via our forms or directly - name, business name, email, phone, the service you’re interested in, your message and any budget range you share.
• Newsletter information - your email address only, when you subscribe.
• Technical and usage information - anonymous data such as device type, browser, approximate location and pages visited, collected by analytics tools we run only with your consent.

3. Why we collect it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote (legitimate interest).
• To deliver the services you have engaged us for (contractual necessity).
• To send our newsletter, where you have explicitly subscribed (consent).
• To improve our website and marketing, where you have consented to analytics cookies.
• To comply with our legal, tax and statutory obligations in Tanzania.

4. Lawful basis

We process personal data under one or more of the following lawful bases under Tanzania’s Personal Data Protection Act, 2022: (a) your consent; (b) performance of a contract with you; (c) our legitimate interest in operating our business; or (d) compliance with a legal obligation.

5. How long we keep it

• Contact form submissions: up to 24 months, then deleted, unless you become a client.
• Client engagement records: for the duration of the engagement and up to 7 years after, for tax and accounting.
• Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
• Anonymous analytics: typically up to 14 months.

6. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Trusted service providers we use to operate our business (email, hosting, analytics, form processing) - bound by contract to protect your data.
• Authorities, only where legally required.
• Other parties only with your explicit consent.

7. International transfers

Some of our service providers process data outside Tanzania (for example in the EU or US). Where this happens we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect your data, in line with the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022.

8. Your rights

Under Tanzania’s Personal Data Protection Act, 2022, you have the right to:

• Be informed about how your data is used.
• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Ask us to delete your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Object to or restrict how we process your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where consent was the basis of processing.
• Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission of Tanzania.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal data. No transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to limit risk.

10. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe we hold a child’s data, please contact us at cisco@webaxis.site.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will note the effective date above and, for material changes, notify our clients directly.
